Day 1
GENERAL SESSION: HYPNOTIST ERICK KAND
The Erick Känd Comedy Hypnosis Show is a fun, fast-paced, and tastefully delivered program designed to generate audience participation. The performance begins with a brief and interactive introduction to hypnosis that gets everyone excited to be a part of the show. More people will want to volunteer than are necessary, but 12-20 self-selecting volunteers are invited to take a seat on stage. The Hypnosis Show participants are rapidly hypnotized into a natural trance state, and the fun begins! The hypnotic trance state creates a sense of heightened awareness that brings out the best in the volunteer performers. Your volunteers role-play in various hypnosis comedy routines that have your audience doubled over with laughter.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: SHADID KAHN
Current owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shadid Kahn is a Pakistani born, American businessman, who moved to the United States at the age of 16 and is currently listed as one of the 300 richest people in the world. An expert in business success, his topics include entrepreneurship, sports, business, growth, business, ethics, communication, diversity, business, leadership, and personal growth. he was recently featured on the cover of Forbes magazine, associating him as the face of the American dream. His lectures are inspiring and motivating and have star power with a local touch.
THEME EVENT: THE "ISLE OF 8 FLAGS"
The "Isle of 8 Flags", Fernandina is the only municipality in the United States that has flown eight different national flags. Beginning in 1562, French Huguenot explorer Jean Ribault flew the first, followed by Spain, Great Britain, Spain (again), the Republic of Florida, the Green Cross of Florida, Mexico, the Confederate States of America, and finally, the United States. With such rich history, the destination lends itself to a fluid program theme, to immerse your guests in the Amelia Island charm and cultural influence that is still prevalent today. Looking for a new and exciting experience to make your Amelia Island visit memorable? Try out a new way to zip around the island with zero emissions. The powerful, sporty FUV is the coolest new way to get around Amelia Island. This activity is a choose your own adventure; from exploring what downtown has to offer or touring the historic Fort Clinch. We recommend stopping for lunch at The Alley, it is the perfect way to start or end this fun tour of Amelia Island.
AMELIA ISLAND PRIVATE RIVER CRUISE, AFTERNOON ACTIVITY
Depart from the historic downtown Fernandina to see Amelia Island from the water! Breathtaking views of wildlife and fascinating stories will enrich your coastal experience with intrigue and wonder. Cruise by Fernandina’s shrimp boats, historic Old Towne, and Ft. Clinch to see the wild horses of Cumberland Island. Dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, egrets, herons, spoonbills, and osprey will be seen along the way.
